Digital media consultant Leigh Felesky has been a leader in the Canadian digital media industry for over 10 years. In a variety of roles – general manager, director, strategic content planner and senior social media producer – she thrives on being ahead of the curve when it comes to emerging platforms, connecting with the right business partners, and finding authentic, winning approaches to reach target audiences. Most recently as the General Manager of Women’s Sites at Rogers Media, she was awarded a National Magazine Award nomination for Best Digital Design, Chatelaine.com, where she created traffic-driving daily publishing workflows, integrated sponsorship opportunities and social media strategies. Also in the women’s space, she conceived of the popular integrated launch sponsorship , “The Passion Project”, for the new iVillage.ca. While working at CBC News, Leigh developed and lead social media strategies for the Vancouver Olympics, President Obama’s visit to Canada and the FIFA World Cup. Her other past positions include the role of Community Director at Kaboose.com (now part of the Disney corporation). In addition, Leigh loves teaching and has taught digital journalism at Ryerson University for over 8 years.
