Joining JWT in mid-2010, Laurie brings deep experience in the strategic uses of digital medias (paid, owned, and earned) – for advertising & promotion, for monetization, for building relationships and/or for driving innovation. Her clients include Mazda, Wal-Mart, Tim Hortons, Sick Kids Foundation, Cadbury and more.
Before JWT, Laurie spent eight years at IBM as a senior management consultant in emerging technology with deep roots in social media (2005) and deeper roots in e-commerce (1998). She left IBM in 2006 to start a family and pursue local marketing opportunities including establishing a start-up in 2009, www.socialwisdom.ca, helping organizations use the web and social media wisely. Her clients included Epilepsy Toronto, Scotiabank BuskerFest, TMG International, and WestJet in early 2010.
Laurie holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and Bachelors in Economics from the University of Waterloo.
